gninnam
Gents, Went to Milton Keynes bowl yesterday to see some groups (Linkin Park & Jay-Z's 'Projekt Reveloution') which was pretty good......... The journey was done in my A8 S2 4.2QS and was a joy from begining to end - so comfortable and quiet, plus averaged just under 33 to the gallon (average speed of 75mph - don't want points...). Just to let you know that these cars are awsome....
harpersimon
I second that, regularly notching up miles, this weekend was a special mission, Lancaster to Banbury, then Bracknell, over to Uxbridge to see Ska, and back for 3 1/2 hour non stop to Lancs. somewhere around 500 miles total. Not a blip, and didn't even ache when I got out!
Jony
I went to S. |Wales on holiday about 6 weeks ago, mostly a roads from Manchester (200 miles each way). The trip averaged about 30 on the computer, but when I came to fill up and calculated the actual mpg it was nearer 25! I think the meter on the fuel tank is not as accurate as it could be on my A8, the actual mpg is always a couple of digits less than the indicated one... Mike Nope, sorry it's the petrol version and I have seen as much as 39mpg in the display, sticking to 70mph for the same journey
DJStrange
I usually struggle to get 26mpg (display) on both my 210 mile to Preston and my 180 mile to Barnsley. However, I have a monster drive coming end of August - W.London to Barnsley to Peterhead (Aberdeen)... then back a week later...... Should be interesting!!
