surfdude Posted July 7, 2008 Report Share Posted July 7, 2008 At the weekend my 335d lost PAS, then the temp lights came on - yellow then red. Pulled over and peeked under the bonnet. The large drive belt was off. Called BMW recovery and they noted that a pulley was "missing", hence the belt being thrown off. car has just done 6k ! I guess it could be bad luck, or a fault with the pulley manufacture Anyone else had similar ??? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dealer said they have never seen/heard of the problem (corporate speak ?) but new pulley and belts fitted, fully tested to ensure nothing else damaged. AND They cleaned/prepped it like it was new.
