treetotreef
On Ebay there is an S8 fitted with what it describes as: Limo style detachable Audi leather headrests in matching grey leather- £200 (I gaurantee you will not find another S8 offering you these). Pictures do not show head rest fitted. Pictures can be emailed by request The link is here: 2002 AUDI S8 4.2 QUATTRO AUTO BLUE on eBay, also, Audi, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 19-Jul-08 15:43:47 BST) Anyone know what these are? or got any pic's? Sven
Pictures can be emailed by request Solution: send him an e-mail and post the pics here! Suppose he means something like this... Car looks nice enough, the reasons why he's selling a bit vague: bigger budget/more room on the driveway. And the 'adaptive headlights' came only as an option with the D3 methinks. But, nitpickings aside, I've seen much worse on eBay. Could be interesting...
craigyb
It's a bit too highly priced.

This one always makes my chuckle... He's been trying to sell this car for months, and months.... Apparently, the headrests that are the single selling feature of the car are so special, he can't be bothered to take a photo of them... They are basically big cushions that slip over the rear headrests to give extra comfort. Its all a nonsense really, the S8 isn't really a rear seat passenger focussed car. The concept was more for the Long wheels base cars... Another private sale who is so genuine that he wants to take photos in the middle of a field rather than neat his house.... Always rings alarm bells to me that. Same photos he'd been using for months... !
Sven
It's a bit too highly priced. Really? Prices must be even lower in the UK then... To me it seems cheap, in the (apparent) condition it's in. Shame really, these lovely cars are worth a multitude of the amount in what they have to offer. Re headrests: I also wondered why he didn't post the pics of this 'unique feature'. Strange... (NB: none of you UK based guys in for sending him an e-mail requesting pics of the 'limo style headrests'? I'd do it, but coming from a .nl address it'd seem odd). Re field: I can appreciate a field is sometimes a better backdrop for a photo shoot than some 'estates' would be. But given the apparent wealth of this guy, you'd expect a nice villa in the background...

If you look closely enough at the main picture you can just about make out the size and shape of the rear headrests. I have the W12 LWB with the same type of detachable headrests BUT they are crap. Most people that get into the back of the car actually remove them as they are too deep and push your head forward into an unatural position. Sven
Ah yes, indeed, there seems to be a disc shaped headrest there... Observant of you! Seem to have found a small piccie btw...
alera
My w12 has these. They were a factory option on the d3s. Seem to remember the cost was around £250 each. Picture of one of mine here : Very well made and comfortable they securely attach with velcro. http://www.a8w12.co.uk/audi-exclusive-rear-chushin.jpg
