chasdrury
I need to remove my seats soon to do some wiring and while I was there I was going to shampoo my fixed carpets. What are the best products to use to do this? Cheers Chas
Ska
Chemical Guys Stain Extractor (diluted 15:1 or there abouts) with a 3 in 1 extractor. Came up trumps with my old interior+++
chasdrury
Cool! Where do I get it from, and what is a 3 in 1 extractor? Chas
Rustynuts
I bought a VAX from Makro a few months ago, and did the interior of the car last week. Everything came up spotless and clean, and I used VAX's own bottle of shampoo which came with the machine. Best £70 ever spent I think.
steelwind101
Great job SKA! The 3 in 1 vacs are great if you can get one! They allow you to suck up liquids and wet materials. Failing getting a 3 in 1 vac you can always use a normal interior shampoo (Meguiars do one and so do Autoglym if you just want to buy in a shop) and a brush to agitate. The "tampico" ones are the best as they are soft on your carpet, if your carpets are the little circular things (not like SKA's) brushes can just pull up all the carpet. If thats the case, a bunch of cheap microfibres will work fine. I think Argos had a wet vac for just £39.99 it just doesnt have a huge a wet-tank and might take a few attempts to get things really dry as it wont have super suction. You can use them all around the house though. Geoff

alexc
We are currently trialing a couple of new interior cleaning products, one for use with a machine and the other for use by hand. So far we've seen some excellent results with the machine cleaner, even on household carpets. I'll keep you posted. Alex
