upgrading brakes

put this on the a3 page and got some good answers but just wondering whether people have done it or know how to do it?

'i have a audi a3 2.0 fsi 2003 and i am looking at upgrading my brakes, i was looking at the brembo brakes, but its just mad amounts of money then i thought about fitted the bigger discs and calipers from the a3 3.2 v6. would these fit if i buy a caliper extending bracket?!'

Yes, you should just be able to do this, you'll need the bigger disks, stone guard which goes behind the disk then the larger calipers and caliper carriers. Theres a kit available here for £540ish

not too sure if these will fit as on the a3 3.2 the discs are 312 mm and those a 345mm!

Don't forget, you might need bigger wheels to clear the disc and calipers.

yea i have 17 inch alloys at mo! which are the same size as the alloys on the 3.2 v6

No they're not. R32 mk2 and A3 3.2 brake setups are identical all bar the blue calipers on the R32. Both use the 345mm setup.
