pitch3110
Chaps, I am noticing that first gear is increasingly being a pain to engage. The gearbox has always been a bit 'notchy' but seems to be getting worse. Anyone else experiencing probs (2.0TDI, manual) Many thanks
PetrolDave
Could be just the cold weather making the gearbox oil thicker. If it's still difficult when the weather warms up (next week?) then might be worth looking into further.
pitch3110
Cheers Petrol. & now you come to mention it I was up norrrrrrrrrrrrrrrth last week visiting big son at uni in York, + clutch judder was noted AGAIN. Might try the dealer once again to see if they ack... my clutch prob & the ever increasing drone from the steering. You never know they may even admit there is an issue...........pink things & the sky come to mind though. thanks again bud
maersk
The groaning/droning from the steering on slight lock is an acknowledeged fault, which has a new rack as the solution..... The 'juddder' from the clutch, as opposed to, the gearbox suggests early dual masss fywheel failure.......................
