Kenny.Junior Posted November 6, 2008 Report Share Posted November 6, 2008 Evening all, just registered on the forum & need some advice.I'm looking to buy a 55 plate A4 Avant 2.0T Quattro S line (is this a B7 in Audi speak?).The R32 I currently run is just too small now the little one is getting bigger! I've been trying to access the essential collection sticky & read the S line & A4 Avant reviews when I click on the blue link on each post I just get directed to a forum index? Told you I need help Am also interested in an AMD Technik remap could be an increase of 55 bhp & 80Ibs ft torque. Now Newtons law says every action causes a reaction so. Mook Posted November 7, 2008 Report Share Posted November 7, 2008 Welcome to Tyresmoke Kenny I went from an R32 to an S4 Avant for the same reasons, to get more room. Yes, it's the B7 that you're looking at. The new model just launched is the B8, so there's some logic to Audi's numbering (although they also go by 8 prefixed numbers, but that's the chassis number). Will have a look at the blue link issue you mention and report back on it. As far as remaps go, yes, you would look at AmD or, depending on where you're based, talk to APS in Brackley. Those figures are about right. The engine is more than capable of handling those kind of power and torque increases. It's only when it get's to over 280 bhp that you need to seriously consider strengthening the internals to ensure engine life longevity. Have fun! Apart from the R32 VW don't really make anything i want to drive, R36? nah not really. I had an Impreza RB5 before the 32 very different cars. Must be getting old because i prefer the understated look these days. With a few subtle modifications you understand. Got an email from AMD & they said combined with a Miltek exhaust system the remap would put the power upto about 275bhp, just on the right side of 280. A4 1.9TDi up to 155k miles, Golf GTi up to 110k miles, Bora TDi up to 145k miles and my S2 is currently at 199.5k miles and get tracked 4-5 times a year and thrashed the rest of the year.
