Scotty
My old phones are on their way out so I'm looking for replacements. I thought the BT4500 did everything I wanted but the web reviews show theres lots of people unhappy with reliabity. I NEED three handsets, answerhone, handsfree, audible mesage alert, caller ID. I'D LIKE the ability to copy the directory (idealling off SIM) I DONT WANT to pay hundreds of £'s. Any ideas? Cheers
Rustynuts
Panasonic are good, and we got a triple pack last year for less than £90. Actually we got two sets due to an admin. cock up somewhere at Ebuyer, and sold one on here. They're very good, but I'm not sure they do an audible alert for the answerphone. Mine don't although the new stuff now just might. Still, worth looking at Panasonic and see what takes your fancy and ticks the boxes. Edit: These are the ones we got. Link. Rachel
I've got 2 Uniden systems - one 2.4GHz and one (the newer, sexier one) at 5.8GHz. They were both cheap here - the first came with 3 handsets and a headset the latter with 2 handsets and the base station in both does recording, messages, etc. They both do caller id too and were about $199 Oz. I had a Panasonic 2.4GHz unit prior to these - but it emitted so much noise it kept killing my (and my neighbour's!) WLAN dead when used.
hotdog
Recommend that you don't buy Philips - our ones are ****e. Bought my sister a BT 4 pack set (about £80 from argos) and they reckon they are brilliant. we also have a BT one at work which I can still use in the pub across the road
Scotty
I ordered some BT ones today. They're actually the predecessors to the ones I mentioned above. £51 delivered from ebuyer
