beankeena
my A4 auto dim mirrors some times they work then they just go off back to normal then back on to dim its annoying, any advise would be grateful
PetrolDave
They should only dim when the sensor on the front of the interior mirror says it's dark but the sensor on the rear of the interior mirror says it's light (i.e the pill..k behind has his lights set wrong). So the mirrors should normally be non-dimmed and dim only when necessary, meaning they'll be changing between dimmed and non-dimmed as needed according to the glare from behind. PetrolDave
Well all the active parts are in the interior mirror, and there's an on/off button there too. Any chance you're pressing that button in frustration? Do all three mirrors (doors and interior) go dim/normal together - assuming you have auto-dim door mirrors as well as the interior one? If all three change together then the mirror glasses are OK and it's the control system - which means a new interior mirror since AFAIK there are no replaceable parts in the mirror. If one mirror behaves differently to the other two then it's a glass problem.
beankeena
all three mirrors work at the same time, i think it might be a new mirror or just live with it thanks again for the reply.
