Cool. Has anybody on here with VCDS/VAG-COM tried this yet?

It does work, but they got the controller wrong on the MMI 3G, it's 5F, not 07

Edit, he's ammended it now.

I know a garage who will let me use theirs, but they charge £25 for the

privilege :mad:

Dumb question, but is the serial number you have to enter into the code generator the same as the vehicle ID number?

The reason is ask is that my vehicle ID number is not only longer, but also in a different format to the example serial number given on the website.

No, the serial number you enter is the serial number of the MMI (which I'll get using VAG-COM) which is different from the VIN.
