bazza_g
From what i hear the oil overheats from one lap at the ring if you are swift. i thought nissan didnt mind this now? bazza on track?! In his own car? Not a funking chance You're spot on though, the GTR is fast as funk on track but can't stay out to play all day with the Pork - it does what it's supposed to brilliantly up to a (price)point - when Wopps is going round and round all day long it's easily to see where the other £60k went! All whilst the GTR owner is fretting about gearbox/engine oil overheating and needing replacement.... However a GTR with brake upgrade, transmission oil coolers, revise brake ducting and Willall fluids would make things much better on track and still leave you £££££ change... NewNiceMrMe
Just seen your pictures in your gallery, very nice. The silver certainly makes it look more subtle than white.

I think on any track I'd need to be a bloody good driver to keep up with one, very impressive stuff but I could imagine it cost 'more' than the porker to use it in that way. All that pressure from the 4wd and weight must put a lot of stress on the car. Time will tell I suppose, all I know is I want one!

Golfer
I think alot of people's heads were turned by the list price, and are now finding out that to maintain a car with Lamborghini performance costs Lamborghini money. It would seem Nissan main Dealers ( not all) are just not interested in their customs full stop, once they have your money they appear to "wash their hands" and ignore customers.Litchfields do ( by all accounts) a great servicing job, however they are not local to all. Middlehurst have had some good reviews but are north of manchester , so a long drive either way for me. I am going to give the car a little more time before taking the leap so to speak, lets see if Nissan get their act together.
garcon magnifique
Middlehurst are west of Manchester rather than north. Still a bit of a trek for you southerners though... The problem with the GTR is that it's so completely different from anything else in the Nissan range. If I had one it would only ever go to a garage where I knew the engineer was fully skilled on the car. Personally that would mean Middlehurst, but then they're relatively local for me. It may also depend on how Nissan UK handle warranty claims - even if it's only a short turn around to get the money back, your typical Nissan dealer is not going to want to be saddled with the expense of a large warranty job. Litchfields will do a great job, I can vouch for them personally - if you're worried about the trek to the Nissan garage then during the first 3 years Nissan UK have a concierge service that gets you a low-loader to transport your car from home/work to your preferred Nissan HPC and back again twice a year take it all back. £1600 (discounted) on a set of a tyres after 3500 miles is probably GTR money! ouch - GTR tyres around £1,100 a set and my Dunlops managed nearly 12k miles! If it wasn't for the neg camber they would have lasted longer as it was only the inside shoulders on all 4 tyres that were shot Edited June 7, 2010 by bazza_g

NewNiceMrMe
Is the lower front air intake a standard finish. It suits the matte silver. I've not seen that before. Like the wing mirrors too. In fact, would you like to swap for an old 6 series? lol
Woppum
Yep all standard mate. You could buy the initial cars in grey, blue or white with a contrasting colour of red or a white gold (in reality a champagne gold). I was set on grey with gold until i saw the blue gold in the flesh. fell in love and made my choice (after alot of deliberation!) NewNiceMrMe
I can see why. I always liked them in white but that blue really sets it apart. Very swish.

I've just had one.
