asarda007
Hi folks, I would greatly appreciate it if someone can help. My Passat has a leak - it is filling up with water on the driver side. The driver mat is completely soaked. It is currently limited to just that area only. I have taken it to local garage and also the VW dealer - both couldn't find the cause of the leak. VW has quoted me an enormous sum to investigate without any guarantees. Can anyone please help? Its the newer model (being 2005 reg). Has anyone come across this problem before. I have seen all sorts of references made to coolant & pollen filetrs etc, but most of them are for leaks around the passenger side. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
cruiser647
Hi! It might still be worth changing the pollen filers, AND checking the bulkhead drains are clear. These are where the wiper moter/blower sit just before the windscreen. There should be some holes that allow drainage - they get blocked, so poke them through and see how much water pours out!
