Parking - why oh why ?

Popped to Bluewater this afternoon. Parked in an empty aisle away from the centre, end (large) bay to give a nice big gap should anyone park next to me.

Came back to find the aisle and the adjacent ones empty but that a Yaris had parked next me, over the line towards my car and straddled the bay behind. 50+ empty spaces next to us and they chose to park - badly - next to the only taken space. :ffs: :ffs:

I think those who are less confident in parking tend to park next to other cars. I think it demands a little more skill to park centrally in a blank space. Many resort to opening a door to check if they are properly between the lines.

Probably why I end up with 4x4's next to me when I go to the supermarket despite parking away from others.
