BMW v57 SSS 32 TIS 12 - Advice needed on using these cables

Hello All +++

I am hoping to find out out if I can use the software BMW v57 SSS 32 TIS 12 for my BMW 1995 (Non OBDII) 2.5TD E36.

There is the 20 pin port under the bonnet, left handside.

I have 2 cables joined together (see pic) OBDII & BMW 20 pin.

I've been researching on how to use the mentioned diagnostic software with the cables on my car to clear the service lights & look at past faults etc recorded on the cars ECU, if there is any.

I believe from reading other threads it can be done.

Is there any other software I need to load to get the program to recognize the leads?

I know there is 'carsoft' with their own serial to 20 pin lead with their black box & various other cheap alternatives.

However I have chosen to use BMW v57 SSS 32 TIS 12 as it will prove useful if I ever change BMW type in the future.

Can anyone explain with instructions on how to use the software via the cables to connect successfully to my car & get the best from it?

I know its a relatively old car with limitations due to its non obdII capability.

So what drivers must I install for the cables I have, as I've plugged them in to the usb slot & there is a message saying unable to find drivers?

What other selections or procedures must I follow?

Whats the difference between BMW DIS v57 program & the SSS v32 one?

Thanks for reading & any help.
