Mark Lynham
I've only done around 350 miles so far in the M3 due to weather and stuff, but im getting real hacked off with running the bl00dy thing in.. especially when im getting challenged for a race and nothing happens - i feel a right ol' woos boy! Just feel that i haven't got a full impression of the car yet... oh, i didn't realise that the lumbar support was a frickin extra!!! the front headrest moves up and down electrically (really usefull, not!) but no lumbar support!..tight arses.. sidicks
Mark Serves you right for buying the poseur's version - Mine has 14-way adjustable 'M'-seats incl. lumber etc..... Must go, I need to go for a drive - no more running in for me Sidicks
Mark Lynham
yeh ok, walked into that one didn't i! you even get something that adjusts the tightness around the sides as well don't you ? - just feckin typical of the money grabin ba5tard5.... Oh, i did get the M logo on seat though -
Mark Lynham
well im half way there now, god this seems like a lifetime... Just when i feel like letting rip i have to change gear but i do get the feeling that once this bad boy is run in that im certainly in for some fun cause there seems plenty of torque even at these low revs.. Will also get them to look at the hood that has just started to make the odd rattle from the back...

Mark Lynham
because i have it on contract hire theres no extra cost come-what-may. The guy i got the car from was keen for me to have it booked into Stephen James in London but as im in Milton Keynes that would have been a right pain in the back side so i just booked it into Victoria which is close by. Not overly fussed as the weather is still really shite but im getting keen to floor this bad boy ......
sidicks
[ QUOTE ] Not overly fussed as the weather is still really shite but im getting keen to floor this bad boy ...... [/ QUOTE ] Patience is a virtue, Mark...... I ended up going for a drive last night to 'test the engine', as I didn't feel it had been sounding 100% on the way back from Paris at the weekend. Lats night it certainly felt as if all 344 horses were 'present and correct', and as to the Volvo driver who tried to race me at the lights - get a grip on reality...... ( sory, I don't like to race, but he was asking for it ). Mark - it'll be worth the wait, believe me !! Have you been playing with the 'Sport' button yet ?? sidicks
Mark Lynham
No i've been a good boy and left the SPORT button alone, although i have 'blipped' the accelerator with it turned on and it is certainly more responsive. Also noticed that the brakes make a noise almost like they are wearing - i wonder if this is due to the ventilated disks?

Sidicks [/ QUOTE ] It would still be free from another dealer, just a little extra paperwork for BMW GB CS to pass around. The only time you have to pay for the 1250 service is if its an import. - Andy

[/ QUOTE ] That's because you are driving faster Cross drilled brakes always make strange noises when your not use to them. GO on be a devil, get the roof down and hit that sport button. Life won't be the same again after it Its the first thing I always turn on when I get in the car

Mark Lynham
Andy (I assume), its the noise but also the smell when i get out of the car, its like i've been giving it a good thrash when i haven't (yet),honest , perhaps its still settling in.... You get one on a manual M3 as well. Basically it sharpens the throttle response. sidicks
