As my R32 is mainly a weekend car it doesn't get much use but I went out in it on Wednesday in the snow for a play ECLIPSe.gif. When I got out and locked it up I had left the sunroof open on vent so I put the key in the lock to close it.

Washed it Saturday morning then went to open it and go for a drive but there was no central locking shocked.gif. Quickly worked out the car battery was flat so poped the bonnet and sure enough 5.4V.

Put some jump leads on it and gave to time to charge then started up fine, while sat in the car with the door open I noticed there were no interior lights on. I turned the sunroof dial back to closed and there was a relay click somewhere and all the interior lights came back on smashfreakB.gif

Somehow I think this is connected to me getting a flat battery, has anyone else had problems like this ?

ALSO once I got it started I went for a drive and found the "one touch" up was not working on the windows they would go down but not up. Been out in the car today and there now working fine suicide.gif

Ive not got a sunrrof on my r32 so im not sure exactly what they are like...however a similar thing happened to my VR6 a few years ago.

With that car, the sunroof used to do a little 'open and close dance' when you locked it (I suppose to check it was properly shut).

One freezing cold day (like last Wednesday) I had locked the car, while the car was very icy - the sunroof obviously (in retrospect!!) spent the whole night trying to do its dance but was unable to, as it was frozen solid in the closed position.

Next morning the battery was as flat as a biscuit.

Dunno about the sunroof/interior lights.

But I can help with the 'one touch' window bit not working..

If one touch stops working, this is what you do:

Drop the window all the way with finger held down on button

raise window all the way with finger held on button

this should cure it, as the window 'relearns' where upper and lower most position's are...

Failing that, you can switch off the ignition for abit, and it should work fine.
