Pa55aT
I've jsut joined and wondered if anyone has had their TDi chipped. I have a 2000 TDi sport 115. I have seen adverts to chip it to 150 BHP. Is it worth it? Cheers Chris
Sven
I think most people here find it not only worth it, but almost a 'must'. Check out AMD or REVO for instance. And take a look in the "oil burners" subforum here on TSN, sure you'll find plenty info there. And welcome to TSN.
s4dreamer
Welcome to Tyresmoke Chris. I think that you'll undoubtably find that chipping IS worth it. You should see faster (safer) overtaking and most often improved fuel consumption. For a few hundred pounds it's a bargain. In addition to AMD and Revo that Sven mentioned, you may also want to check out Upsolute. They will (often) come out to you to save you effort. Upsolute tend to be cheaper than AMD or Revo, but the remap they do is "standard", whereas AMD would probably customize to suit your specific engine.
