Rich
Tyre size needed for standard S3 (without RSTT wheels) are 225/45/17....or to be on the safe side check whats written on the side of all your tyres!
spuddybaby
cheers. (would have looked myself but it is too depressing looking at my s3 at the mo. three nice tyres and the bloody spacesaver with its nice yellow "Dont drive over 50mph" sticker!) Any ideas on a decent tyre supplier anybody?
Rich
Check out bracknell tyres (01344 411323) I got the Goodyear F1 GSD3's (for my S3) from there at £90 a corner fitted, and recently they quoted my mate £98 (without fitting) for the standard bridgestone's on his TT. If they are not that close to you, give them a ring anyway to see what they cost...then ring Kwik fit. They do a price match thing, thats what my mate did with his TT, and they fitted them included in that price match. Or of course there is blackcircles, but I'm expecting you want the tyre asap!! Hopsta
I get mine from Boxley Tyres in maidstone, they're the local agents for Blackcircles. Dont forget if the tread depth is vastly diff on the other side then you'lll have to change both!
spuddybaby
dont say that , i am skint enough this month without having to buy two tyres!

Rich
I know the Haldex system is supposed to be able to cope with difference in tyre tread....how much difference I don't know for sure!! I must agree though, your tyres are very important, I always change in two's (never had a problem with a puncture mind - touch wood). I'm currently trying to wear my down evening so that I change all 4 next time...your supposed to have similar treads on all tyres so that will mean I can change brand to what ever I want....although I don't have any complaints about the Goodyears so far...just have to see how long they end up lasting I suppose? Matt R
I have a part-worn tyre in the garage if it helps tide you over for a couple of months!! If not, I use RM tyres on the Medway City Estate, speak to Barry! Matt
