loddrik
Saw one of these on the road yesterday, forgot how much road presence they have, made a bloody nice noise too, am I right in thinking they are 5 cyls?
Ari
I believe so. They are featured in an article in this months Car Magazine, "10 best dream cars for £25,000". Interesting read.

Ben
Yep, 2.2 5cyl and 315BHP. 180 RHD imported into UK and quicker 0-30 than a McClaren F1. Nice.
Techie
And a large proprotion of them are knackered these days as running an maintainence costs are huge. We still have quite a few come though our workshop and one of our directors has one. We get em in as Audi dealers often kack themselves when one comes in. Brabus
My parents had one back in 95, one of the last to be built IIRC and the acceleration was good but the turbo lag was appaling. Handling and brakes good for an estate but even then the interior was dated and very cramped. I saw about 170 mph out of it on an autobahn driving back from Frankfurt, it didn't feel very stable though and tramlined easily with the 245/45x17 tyres. Ari
I suspect a lot of these old great heros would feel a little off the pace today. I wonder how the "supercar" Porsche 959 would stack up against the "production sportscar" current 911 Turbo? Thats evolution for you I guess... Blue
[ QUOTE ] I wonder how the "supercar" Porsche 959 would stack up against the "production sportscar" current 911 Turbo? [/ QUOTE ] I think you'll find it still is a awesome car, think even a modern tubro would have problems with it. don't forget the 959 was no ordinary supercar, it was a limited RACE car with nr plates, and one that had all the porker engineering posibilites they where able to cramp into that car. truly awesome!!!
