Stokey
Hi, I`m sorry that I have not posted anything for so long but a few things have been going on lately. Its with deep regret that I have to inform every one that my silver R32 has had to go Just after the new year my wife was in with the kids while I was out at work. At about 10.45 pm there was a knock at our door which she answered. To her suprise two middle aged blocks were at the door. They asked her for the keys to the R32 and threatened her and the kids. She slamed the door shut, but they decided to try and kick the front door down. One also went around the back of the house and tried to enter the house from the rear. My wife phoned the police (who took 1 hour to get to her ) She also phoned my best mate up who came striaght round and ended up in in A&E. This was because I was down in London bringing a train back up to Crewe. The BASTARDS recked the front door and rear patio doors, put my mate in hospitial and scared the [censored] out of my wife and kids. they also smashed the locks and side windows on the car but never got it. Due to this incident I have sold the R32, the house is up for sale and if my other half has her way I`ll not have another performance car again. This has all happened in a area that dos`nt have a high crime rate. (oh yeh) For me it makes you think about what is the point in having these cars if some low life who dos`nt work ect just wants to get one for nothing. Also the police are just not interested which pissies you off as well. So I have a set of Hella Red & Clear rear lights, K&N Panel filter, Neuspeed P-flow induction kit, R32 Silver tax disk up for sale if any body is interested. I`ll post again with pictures of these items in the next few days. Regards Stokey

Im sure the wife and kids must have been very shaken up... those b'stards.. its horrible to think what lenghts scum will goto just for a car.. this is one thing i dont like about the car and that is it does attract a lot of attention (and not just this one, but I guess any desirable car) it really makes you mad when you hear stuff like this... anyways I am really glad they didnt manage to get in to your house and hope your friend gets better.. those bstards.. what comes around goes around is what I say

Busby
Stokey, I think I speak for everyone on here when I say I read your story with absolute horror. I really hope that your mate is ok and that they catch the basta*ds that did this. I hope your better half and the little ones recover soon too. It does make you stop and think if it is worth it when something like this happens especially when your kids have been dragged into it. I can't get over the cheek of these thieving c*nts - who the feck do they think they are? The most annoying thing is that even if they do catch them they'll probably get a few months in some holiday camp. I know my jacking was nowhere near as bad as this but the old bill are telling me that the CPS might plea bargain from robbery to vehicle theft as the six who beat me up and took my car are claiming that they found the car with the keys in and couldn't resist going for a spin! The copper even had the balls to tell me that it was their word against mine and there was six of them so the CPS might not go ahead with the robbery case - so the fact that they all have records as long as your arm and have been nicking cars since they could walk counts for feck all! The more I hear about stories like this the madder I get. The reason these little tossers go around doing these things is that they know they can get away with it even if they get caught. I am beginning to think it is time I moved back to the US, bought a Ford Lightening and got a handgun licence. I swear to God if someone was tryiong to batter my door down and I had a gun I would shoot the fecker. We really need to stand up as a nation about the way these criminals are dealt with. In the US the kids that did me over would get at least 5 - 7 years and with the records they had they would have probably already been inside. here they will probably get two weeks painting some old dears fence whose pension money they'll rob off her! I know I am going on but I am really pi$$ed off. Rant over. Don't let the b*stards get you down and I hope you all get back to normal soon. s4dreamer
Stokey, I can't even begin to write about what my feelings are about such a shocking event. All I can say is that I hope you and the family can come to terms with it and that your mate makes a speedy recovery. Good luck mate!
JaffaCake
Stokey - Awful story mate, hope everyone involved is getting better. Care to mention the area this took place? I suggest anyone in a similar situation just hands over the keys. Maybe a tracker device would be the best option for these situations? Thieves who need to get the keys to steal a car aren't going to be the best as disabling trackers.
L3ETT
Awww man, I'm so sorry for you & your family. I took was a victim of key theft a bit ago when my TT was stolen. Glad my wife wasn't in the house at the time. I have to admit I am still looking over my shoulder all of the time, checking I'm not being followed. The R32 will be my last performance car, as I too do not want to risk anything like this happening to my family. Just shows what state this country is in, the law favours the thieves - and if your mate had battered them I'm sure he would be up in court in no time for GBH. I hope you and your family recover from this awful crime.
bradeywalker
I'm really sorry to hear that Stokey, what a horrific situation, I sincerely hope things get back to normal as soon as possible for you, your family and friend. There aren't words to describe how you must feel, but don't let those t**ts get you down.

dubzter
Mate I'm really sorry to hear about your troubles, hope everyone involved can get over this horrendous crime. As has been said above this country is going to the dogs. Only yesterday I heard on the radio a police officer talking about having to come down hard on motorists using mobiles while they are driving. Come on Britain it is hardly the crime of the century. While they are out chasing motorists on their mobiles stuff like this is happening to good and hard working families. It is beginning to make me sick. Snail
FK!!!! This is sickening........its one thing to steal a car from your drive, but fk, threatening people, beating people up, smashing up the car and house..... And the police are only interested in catching people using mobiles....... Im incensed by this, and completely understand you and the wife's point of view about selling the motor. Have you any witness's, or camera footage of the thieves? These guys need to go to jail.
magrillz
Stokey I'm really sorry to hear about this. Returning to your car to find it's either gone or been broken into is a pretty bad feeling in itself but this and busby's stituation are just way over the line. I can understand why you have sold it, if you have got a Wife and Kids then you just can't risk them coming back for it. Hope you, your family and your mate get over this soon! my girlfriend is insured on my car too, makes you really para about her driving it on her own! Can't explain how much this kind of thing pisses me off!!!
J6ORDS
Gutted for you Stokey, again I hope the family and friend are ok, they are whats most important here. Selling the car is understandable but so unfair that we cant have the things we work so hard for without having to worry about scummy Twocers getting their hands on them. Personally I wouldnt move home because of a couple of thoughtless twats, that way they have still won. Besides, C*nts likes this are everywhere these days, you'd propably be better off installing CCTV around your house then you would moving. Hearing stories like this have encouraged me to wait until Ive my own drive/garage before I buy my next car, you cant have a car like the R32 parked on the street outside your house, fear of jealousy alone would keep me up every night. Good luck though mate, hope things get better for you.

Soulboy
Stokey I read your post this morning and it has been playing on my mind all day. That is s truly horrendous story and I can see why you want to sell the car and the house...you will probably need to do this just to make the wife and kids feel secure again. If you can look at these changes in a positive manner im sure you can soon put it all behind you. I hope your wife reads these posts as Im sure the support will make her feel a bit better. Regards Ian ----- added: I have just opened the Manchester Evening News and the headline story is: 'A mum of three was attacked by a gang of 6 gun toting carjackers who used teargas and a rounders bat on her' ....the car was a Golf GTTDI
miffy1
We had a similar episode when confronted by two men trying to steal my husbands previous car. I can quite understand how your wife feels, I didnt sleep and was edgy for weeks after. Police were worse than useless which didnt help. However, I've got over it and try to remember that its not personal and there is probably nothing you could have done to avoid it so dont beat yourself up mentally over it. If high performance cars make you happy then you should have one - but beef up the security on both your home and your car as what's at stake here is your peace of mind not the piece of metal on the drive. For those of you bothered about wives and girlfriends driving your car, just remember how unpredictable women can be - most people would not want to mess with me on a bad day (car theives included!!) Hope you all manage to get over this incident soon..
Smudge
Stokey, I am extremely sorry to hear of such a horrendous incident. I dread to think how anyone involved feels. I understand the sale of both car and house & just hope you're able to move to somewhere else you can call home again. With regards to the police response, I'm horified & to an extent shocked. An hour to respond is simlpy scandlous. I'm guesing they are no longer interested as they have nothing to go on, cos they took so long! Gutting & frustrating to say the least. Fingers crossed they'll try it again soon (because you can guarentee they'll will), but with the wrong person & the right out come! Have you spoken to the papers or your local MP? I'm guessing the papers one is a no no, just on the publicity front? All the best for the future & don't leave us Stokey. You'd done a lot to that car & you were often a very good source of info & advice. All of which was very welcome. Al.
nellisr32
Stokey, I am new to the forum, but read your message with shock, I think that you are doing the right thing by your family, the police should read this post with shame, too much time is being spent tax collecting for the government at the expense of real policing, it will come as no surprise that there were more convictions for speed offences than there were for burglary last year. Lets all hope at some point that the powers at be will realise this and start coming down hard on these little f@*ckers. All the best
