Mark Lynham
Steady on there Chris, don't start the day on a bad un although i have to say that there is a BIG difference in the general comments made on BM3W compared to TS . I post a little on the site and have found it ok but a lot more 'formal' if thats the word...
sidicks
Did you see the old guy who had put 'energiser' oil in his CSL ? They were trying to convince him that adding potatoes to the boot will make the rear end more stable. On the one hand I can't believe he's genuine, but if not, the pretense is lasting a long time.....hmmmm sidicks
Brabus
No, he actually suggested putting the spuds in the boot himself and then got all worried cause he thought the boot was made of cardboard...he's got to be a wind-up surely? sidicks
[ QUOTE ] Hey that old guy as you put it is me. ok maybe i am, i'm the oldest member on that forum. It seems I am now famous, better late than never [/ QUOTE ] Welcome to TS.net - hope you stick around !! No offence intended, it's just that you are almost the total opposite of the normal M3/M3CSL owners, who tend to be younger, and have bought their cars for the ultimate driving experience that they offer. On the other hand, you seem to be concerned that your car is giving you a bit of oversteer, when that's exactly what it was designed to do !! Have you thought about trying some of the other BMW models - 7 series or new 5 series ?? I'm sure you find these more to your liking and they certainly will be more comfortable and luxurious than the CSL. To my mind, most of the cost of the CSL has gone in making it lighter, stiffer, faster, etc and more of a drivers car which doesn't appear to be what you are looking for. You could get a fantastic spec 540i say with every option ticked, for the price of your CSL, and it may well be almost as fast. Just something worth considering.... sidicks
