Ditchyboy
I am looking at getting a GTi as my next car but have seen a couple of 4 motion gttdi's about. Can anyone tell me if these are any good? Is it basically the R32 chassis and drivetrain but in diesel? If so surely that makes a good car?! I would think of it more as a Golf Diesel with a Haldex fitted. Spring rates and ARBs will be totally different to that which are used on the R32 so I'm not sure you can say it's a R32 Chassis but with a Diesel. It won't be a bad car and the traction will be very good, plus they are quite rare. Haldex needs an oil and filter change every 40k miles too so bit extra cost on servicing. I would stick to your original plan and get a MK5 GTI
