Hurry, as only 13 are being built!

Porsche 911 Club Coupe Limited-edition version of new 911 gets more power and distinctive styling, but only 13 will be built

It’s only been on sale for six months, but Porsche has already introduced a special-edition version of the new 911. Called the Club Coupe, it’s been built to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first Porsche owners club – founded in 1952.

Based on the standard Carrera S, the Club Coupe gets the power kit, which boosts the 3.8-litre flat-six’s output by 30 bhp to 424 bhp and drops the 0-62 mph time to 4.0 seconds.

The Sport Design kit, which adds a lower front apron and a ducktail spoiler at the rear, is fitted as standard, while Brewster Green paint and Espresso leather is the only colour combination.

Don’t reach for your cheque books just yet though, as only 13 examples of the Club Coupe will be built, with Porsche keeping one of those for itself.

The others will only be offered to members of an existing Porsche owners club (there are now 640 clubs in 75 countries with over 181,000 members). Lucky applicants will be chosen by ballot and invited to pay around £135,000 each.
