NewNiceMrMe
I'm knackered, I'm off to bed, but after 5 hours of tension I thought I'd start the thread. Always said I thought he'd do it one day - but my god I had my moment of doubt tonight. Epic match. Wimbledon Final, Olympic Gold and now US Open Grand Slam Champion, beating Novak Djokovic 3-2 in a quite enthralling encounter. Brilliant, stunning, history - and the 76 year wait is over. Cuprabob
Glad he's finally done it and hope he can go forward and win a few more. Pressure at Wimbledon next year will be immense. With regarsd to SPOTY, I think it will end up just being Team GB as opposed to an individual. If it is an individual, it won't be Murray as there will be a few more popular votes ahead of him such as Bradley Wiggins and Mo Farrah to name a few. JonC
With regarsd to SPOTY, I think it will end up just being Team GB as opposed to an individual Technically speaking, that would be Sports Personalities Of The Year
Tipex
Technically Murray would need a personality to win SPOTY surely?
