DanG
Definitely get better MPG from the higher octane with the 2.0T engine.

Twinspark
Do the 'big' T-FSI engines have the same issues as the 'small' T-FSI engines when you run them on a diet of Tesco value petrol?
Milo
I ran my 2.0TFSI on v power for 25k miles, then Tesco 99RON for the last 25k. The engine definitely prefers the higher octane and mine has never missed a beat in 6.5 years.
magic123
nice, theres no shell garages where i am only tesco really unfortunately or a BP which is at a service stationso basically rip off, prefered it in what way?
DanG
It's a turbo charged engine (clearly) which can provide More boost and efficiency with a higher octane fuel. Tesco 99 is really good for providing high MPG. BP and Shell are ok. Below was after a decent motorway run at 70mph and a final down hill coast of about 3 miles.
