Andy_Bangle
The Wraith is Rolls-Royce's vision of a what sporty-looking, performance coupe with the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine placed on its hood should be in the 21st century. Last week, Rolls-Royce released the name of its all-new Ghost-based coupe model, the Wraith, adding that it will make its global premiere at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in early March. Britain's most famous carmaker also said that in the weeks leading up to the show, it plans to "reveal additional information and a series of teaser images", which it did, beginning today with a smoke screen-style teaser on its website where users can move their mouse to divulge bits and pieces of the car. Keeping in line with the rest of the range, the Wraith sports suicide-style front doors but adds an elongated roofline that slopes almost to the back end. Rolls-Royce has said that the new Wraith will be the sportiest and most powerful production model to feature the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine on its hood. While it won't get into details yet, it is believed that the Wraith will utilize a re-worked version of the Ghost's 6.6-litre twin turbo V12 engine producing somewhere around 600-horses. m4ttm4son
"Wraith" - That's got to be a fast Fother Mucking Rolls or marketing have dropped something.
DanG
Meh. Rollers just don't do it for me. It won't do anything that a 7, A8 or S class doesn't already, and is about as comfy as a Range Rover. But will cost three times the price. Nice engine though... Andy_Bangle
"Wraith" - ....marketing have dropped something. Wraith is a Scottish dialectal word for "ghost," "spirit" hence the 'updated' Flying Lady for this PR campaign: The Wraith name was first used by Rolls in 1938

Tipex
I'm sure it'll be very nice, but I kinda agree with DanG, what's the point of them? If you aren't an arab Sheik that's obsessed with image, why would you buy one?

Look, you pedantic, ignorant boy, the car looking like a right pig is an expressed opinion. Moaning will be what you do when someone smacks you round the head for being a twunt. Or what Tipex does on a regular basis...

stooH
I'm not usually a fan of RR's but that one has the potential to look quite nice based on the roof line, however, you can't see anything of the front or end of it, that's where you know it's going to be pig ugly and ruin all the aesthetics. garcon magnifique
I'm sure it'll be absolutely awesome, but I'd rather have a Bentley Brooklands. Proper old school British luxury.

I thought that too, I suppose the front will be fairly 'standard' RR fare, but the boot will be a big fat flashy hippo of a thing. I'll pass, thanks. Reminds me of an episode of "The News" on TG where they started by explaining that you can tell which bit of a new car is ugly and which bit looks good by looking at the early press photos - the bits hidden in the first photos will be the hideous bits. Then they showed the Porsche teaser pics of the facelift Cayenne... just some headlights against the darkness
