Calm Chris
I first saw this car about 6 years ago:eek:, I last posted about it 4+ years ago. It's been sat in the same place, the same house, the same front drive for years. It's crying out for someone with energy and money to give it love. One day I will knock on the door and ask why its been left outside a house valued at £800k or so, for all those years. What I think we should do is all chip in £2k each (say x10) and offer to buy it for £6-8k with some restoration funds left over. Now all we need to do is persuade Dan and Elverado that they want to spend many hundred of hours bring it back from the dead. Once sorted, we then have a private club and each member gets the car for a month per year Edited February 27, 2013 by Chri5
cruiser647
Wierd eh! It's not as if you can forget about it. What with it being bright red/pink!
pontyslapper
P'raps they ain't car folk and maybe inherited it and just left it out front as it may have been a bit pricey to repair/insure/service/use for them. Or maybe they just don't care?!? Either way that'll need a bit more than Edd China and his can of 'non-branded' penetrating fluid.
Calm Chris
The base of the door is gone eaten with rust, but I pretty sure the majority of the body was fibre glass, so just a bit of t cut

Twinspark
They were metal bodied - and mostly full of lead loading to cover up the ham-fisted build quality.
DanG
Ooh, Pantera... I think they are actually pretty. Mind you, it's a simple enough engine, but having just done a full body restoration on a 1969 car, I know how much cutting an welding costs.... And for that reason, I'm out! (That plates probably worth £2k)...

Tipex
Given what they cost new, the fact it had an effective life of only 12 years before it was laid up is almost criminal. Assuming of course the year of manufacture is correct and not simply when it was imported, WiKi says they were made until 91 so would assume 90 is correct. Edit to add, I've been gathering photos of similar forgotten cars for a while now, nothing as interesting as that, but once I've got a few more i've spotted but not been able to photograph yet i'll post them up. theduisbergkid
What I think we should do is all chip in £2k each (say x10) and offer to buy it for £6-8k I'm in. I know a chap who would be able to sort the engine (and probably do it for in return for a share in the car). I've been gathering photos of similar forgotten cars for a while now. Let's see 'em ! Ian_C
Can you tax a car thats sorn online or do you still have to pop into a post office for that?
eldavo69
Did it online, you can do it 5 days before the end of the month for the next month. Provided the MOT is still valid (as mine is) then you just need the code off the V5 instead of from the renewal letter.

I know a chap who'd do it for nothing, just because he enjoys doing it, he was trained by Ferrari in Italy, and used to look after all the Ferraris in the south east (and a lot used to come from much further afield), he's got all the old school tools to do it properly too, only thing is, we'd need to get it to Italy, although we could combine that with picking up the Integrale and having a butchers at the Fezza!
