bazza_g
I reckon 0-300kph (186mph) in 12.87 seconds and 232mph says it all really..... To compare: Veyron Supersport - 14.6 seconds Agera R - 14.5 seconds Venom GT - 13.6 seconds uaYTqAaPD5w
Andrew
How quick would an F1 car do that? I guess the other thing is how many times the GTR could do it!
Scotty
Stunning! It makes it look effortless and the g-meter shows it was still pulling at 375kmph ! Wow!
bazza_g
How quick would an F1 car do that? I guess the other thing is how many times the GTR could do it! Wikipedia has the Renault R26 (2006) managing 0-186mph in 8.6 seconds - probably faster with the right gearing/aero - remember the power to weight ratio of a F1 car is still probably 50% more than even the most bonkers tuned GTR
Andrew
Is there a time for an F1 car doing the Nurburgring? Certainly puts speed into perspective doesn't it but nonetheless impressive; I'd love a ride in a GTR.
bazza_g
Not sure anyone has set a proper time in a recent F1 car - Schuey had a go a in a Merc not so long ago but was mainly doing a glorified photoshoot so didn't set anything competitive. I remember reading that BMW engineers reckon in simulator a little over 5 mins would be possible..!
Ian_C
Quality posting Bazza. That is bonkers, 20 years ago 12.87 seconds was a typical 0-60 mph time!
cruiser647
I guess the other thing is how many times the GTR could do it! The F1 engines get rebuilt after a few races? Are they allowed 3 or 4 during the race season? Oh, and - Those Crazy Ivans!!! Edited May 30, 2013 by cruiser647
Mook
That GT-R is NUTS! Almost as quick as my Mk2
