bazza_g
poor start from the Veyron I know but the Juke R (700 bhp) nailed it off the line DTSbPB3nXDM
m4ttm4son
:D You could get the kids to school pretty quickly in that!
Paul
Impressive, considering its about as aerodynamic as a double decker bus.
Arch
Awesome launch and it gave the squashed beetle a good run for it's (considerable more) money.
patently
Awesome launch Pah. Amateur effort. (Not really, all credit to him!)
Rachel
Love it. I imagine the driver has very large cohones (real if man, realised if woman) to go that fast in something that high off the ground.
cruiser647
Was a very poor start for the Veyron driver. Not their car? Didn't know how to set the launch? But that Juke can move!!!
Tipex
All you have to do in a Veyron is press the go pedal, the car does everything else, I think the Juke driver just had better reactions, and being much lighter it was quicker off the mark. I'm surprised how long it took the Veyron to reel it back in though, given all the stats about it being faster than XYZ to whatever speed even if the other car had a rolling start etc.
Mook
Only 700bhp in the Juke - wow!
stooH
What happened right at the end, did the Juke reach the end of it's gear ratio or power or did the driver ease up? The Veyron suddenly blasted past it.
Tipex
I think the Veyron just got into it's stride as the Juke reached it's limits of overcoming aerodynamics etc, the Veyrons strong point is it's ability to still accelerate hard even when it's already doing 150mph. Scotty
There's other vids of Veyrons getting to 1/4miles nearly 0.75 sec quicker and to the end 1.5 secs quicker. I don't think it a good run. I am surprised though how many tuned cars seem to be able to give it a run. After all the probs VW had with the cooling etc it's impressive for smaller tuners to be able to run so well. Then again I bet none are as drivable day to day as the Veyron.
m4ttm4son
I'd imagine the Veyron doesn't go pop as often as a Need for Speed special, either.

stooH
Indeed, i'd imagine you could merrily drive down the length of an autobahn at that speed in a Veyron but the Juke would only get as far as junction 1.
patently
the Juke would only get as far as junction 1. Yeah, but that one-junction journey would be utterly unforgettable
Milo
I don't think that's a stock Juke. Inspired, I tried something similar in my wife's 1.5dci Juke earlier today. Unfortunately, it was a bit sluggish in comparison. Fortunately, I found all the bits and the car gets swapped for a new one in about 2 months anyway
Torino101
However I have the petrol turbo Juke, which, a bit like the Golf GTi is easily able to out drag Veyrons are traffic light grand prix's. :crackpipe: Now if only I could find a Veyron about to demonstrate
