BTCC Silverstone Finale 1992

My favourite era of racing, the BTCC were little more than bumper cars!

Rally cross was also properly exciting in this era too with loads of grudges and flaring of tempers.

Martin Schanche is my favorite motorsport personality of all time.

I was at Silverstone that day, stood at Copse. You could hear the crowd at the complex even from there.

Yep, me too, there were some furious battles, and some men with very large testicles, I mean, even taking stupidity into account, it still takes balls to stand in front of an RS2000 just to feck up his lap after he punted you off!

Classic racing, brilliant to watch. I think around that time the crowd at Oulton Park was the biggest at any motorsport event outside of F1 from what I remember.

Great to see the cars looking very similar if not identical to road cars, bring that back if you ask me. +++
