Calm Chris
My 16th birthday. Yamaha FSIE just over a year old £165 (saved from paper round and gardening works), did 25k miles in 15 months on it. Insurance, fully comp was £14 a year and petrol was 60p a gallon and 5p for 2 stroke oil. Ace bars were £10 and Dunlop TT100's were £12 rear and £10 front. Now some of you babies will think wow that was cheap, in context after I did a year at college sorting out fecked up GCE's I went to work for an insurance Co as a trainee Lloyds broker and my net after tax income was....... £46 a month and I had to commute Gravesend to London every day. Scotty
It wasn't until Feb '08 I had my name on a V5. All "my" cars went in the wife's name and I was a late started on bikes. Therefore first wheels were actually my CBR600F6.
