Its all looking to be a bit closer already from the looks of the practice.

Ferrari and Mclaren look strong, Merc might still have the ultimate pace and a few others like Williams are hot on their heals, should be a good race as long as no fuel flow meters are being potentially inaccurate again.

Not at all and I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the owner does an interview talking about scenarios that could see the team leaving the sport at the same time they have an appeal going through. Bery Ferrari-esque:-)

I must admit I do love the politics and the backroom stuff that is Formula 1. The racing is just a sideshow:-)

we're right near that pic. Just on the start finish line. Not a great spot for the racing but perfect for the start and the podium.

We had a good day. Jesus, it was hot around 1pm then it cooled down when it rained. Qualifying was delayed while it bucketed down. Cars were awesome to watch even in the wet. They sound very different now. Almost like a v twin bike on steroids. Was amazed at the grip out of a turn in the wet with no TC...

Forecast is rain tomorrow again... if it rains heavy they will have a problem... rain comes down in big lumps here...

Go Mercedes! 6 of the top 9 finishers were Mercedes engined.

Lewis, Nico and the man who dowsn't like to be booed - the first 1 & 2 podium for Mercedes since 1955.

Weird having the podium interview being conducted by Smaug, or is it Khan Noonian Singh or is it Sherlock, or...

Oh, and poor old Daniel Ricciardo has been given Mark Webber's car and team it seems.

I do feel sorry for Ricciardo as he seems to have been punished extensively for the issue with the wheel nut.

- Time lost while the car is pushed back and issue resolved. Not to mention the wing issue which seems to have been a consequence.

- 5 sec stop and go

- 10 place grid drop in Bahrain.

Grid drop for next race is OTT, IMO

What a day.  Started with a champagne reception at a nice hotel near the airport not far from the track. Saw Kimi walk past me and get in to his hire car (Ferrari California) ... Alonso also took off in his FF...

After much quaffing of Bolly and posh  nosh , off to the circuit. Two police escort riders... down the VIP lane (wrong way down the fast lane of the opposite carriage way) past miles of traffic queuing to get in...non-stop straight in to the circuit. No messing...Seats were at the start line... could have been better but we got in to it. Enjoyed the racing and the podium....always good to see the union jack above two german flags. Then back to the Hotel for more indulgence (police escort naturally)

A great day. I have a day free tomorrow to have a look at what I can of KL then its back to NZ. Its been a real treat this weekend.Brilliant. Will post a few pics when I can...
