20 years since he died, 30 years since he announced his arrival on the big stage by winning the race of champions at the Nurburgring in a Merc Cosworth. There's a fantastic film from XCAR coming very soon with rare footage of that race and a familiar face* presenting an upbeat feature on the greatest driver ever +++

*No tanktop, sorry, black sweater, jeans and yellow adidas this time.

Monza, Imola, bollocks.

As long as this doesn't signal loads of blinkered F1 "afficionados" hailing Senna the Saint whilst dismissing Schumacher as a cheat...

Looking forward to the programmes though. He had a unique 'feel' that did almost amount to a religious experience. A similar natural talent to Clark, and yet an entirely different character.

mmm, the first 50 signed ones have all gone. I'm pretty sure I was in there for one, as I bought as soon as I got the email.

Now it was going to be for my brother for a birthday present but I think I'll keep it if it's a signed one!

You do know this right ......

This book is signed by Neil Trundle, Chief Mechanic to both Senna and Prost in 1988.

Funnily enough the first thing I thought, when I saw it was signed, was how do they get a dead guy to sign a book and then realised it was by a mechanic:-)

Do you think McLaren and the Senna Foundation would be selling books signed by Mr Senna for £35, from 20 years ago!!!

Not at all, it's just one of those strange things that goes through my head for a short period of time. I agree.it's a nice touch and with only 50 signed, a bit special.

Without realising what I'd bought, I got him a Senna book called Monumental Senna. Limited to 500 worldwide, the most amazing book of photographs I've seen. Got it about 25 years ago.

It's mega money now.

I queued up to get Jackie Stewart's autobiography signed by him as a present to my grandad. It was only after a couple of years he realised it was signed.

I too queued up in 2007 to have Jackie Stewart's autobiogrsphy signed. The length of the queue was surprising.

Very emotional. Thankfully they didn't show any actual race footage which I think showed great judgement by Sky.

David Brabham put a great angle on the situation being RR team mate. Damon Hill is a top bloke.
