Twinspark
I'm so glad I went for a Boxster now. Even more that I went for the 3.2S. And I'm loving the Tiptronic - but can't wait to get a proper 'flappy paddle' conversion done in a couple of weeks. So... on with the picture whoring. theduisbergkid
Very nice! Love the petrol pump shots.
Luke
Those pump shots aren't staged. The car's that old, that's the fuel It needs.
cruiser647
How many miles have you added so far?
Twinspark
Probably around 1k miles. Today's little jaunt was the most expensive so far... I filled up with 99RON fuel this morning and re-set the computer. By the time I got home, my average was 20.4mpg.
patently
By the time I got home, my average was 20.4mpg. You can drive it a bit harder, then Typical for that era Porsche is 20-25 on the motorway, 15-18 on normal roads, single figures on track.
Twinspark
Bear in mind that a lot of miles were done on single track roads - ie. Epynt and Aberystwyth Mountain Road. I'm seriously considering taking a high performance handling course, as I don't feel like I can exploit it in the same way I could the MX5, or even my 120d. (Mind you, the only 'driver aid' this has is ABS... 250bhp, mid engine and no traction control on gravelly, wet, Welsh Mountain roads does 'focus the mind' a little)
NewNiceMrMe
Maybe wait a few years until the sky is blue for a day? Then we'll actually be able to see the car in contrast to the non-grey background. Edited April 27, 2014 by NewNiceMrMe

Particularly with the Boxster being mid engined, you'll want to learn in a safe environment, preferably a skid pan, how hard you can push and what it all feels like just before and when it snaps and brings the rear around. It will boost your confidence and maybe improve your mad driving skillz, and really let you enjoy the car on a vigorous drive.
