Blatant picture whoring... mid Wales run today.

I'm so glad I went for a Boxster now. Even more that I went for the 3.2S. And I'm loving the Tiptronic - but can't wait to get a proper 'flappy paddle' conversion done in a couple of weeks.

So... on with the picture whoring.

Bear in mind that a lot of miles were done on single track roads - ie. Epynt and Aberystwyth Mountain Road.

I'm seriously considering taking a high performance handling course, as I don't feel like I can exploit it in the same way I could the MX5, or even my 120d.

(Mind you, the only 'driver aid' this has is ABS... 250bhp, mid engine and no traction control on gravelly, wet, Welsh Mountain roads does 'focus the mind' a little)

As the former owner of a lovely 987 and mad 996.2 C4S (& the evil 510+ hp XKR) I can absolutely recommend the benefits of an advanced car control/handling course. Particularly with the Boxster being mid engined, you'll want to learn in a safe environment, preferably a skid pan, how hard you can push and what it all feels like just before and when it snaps and brings the rear around.

It will boost your confidence and maybe improve your mad driving skillz, and really let you enjoy the car on a vigorous drive. +++
