Twinspark
I love older era F1 cars. The late 80s and early 90s especially produced some really 'clean' designs. I've watched a few of the classic races this weekend - still amazed at the suspension travel and how much the cars moved around back in the 80s. Luke
They are just so beautiful to look at. The modern day cars have so many wings and fins they look messy and cluttered. Less aero means simple, clean lines. Sublime.
Twinspark
The FW11 still looks amazing. As does the Ferrari F1/88 - which really deserved to be more successful... it just came up against the MP4/4... Always thought the John Barnard Ferrari 640 was amazing, too.

Booster
What about the JPS Lotus? That car made me start smoking!! I can see why they banned F1 cars from being sponsored by cigarette companies!
Twinspark
Those were the days. I was at University in the Damon Hill days at Williams - we (in the shared house) used to pop down the local shop for packs of 'Damons' - aka Rothmans. Luke
They had the 1985 Estoril race on Sky tonight. Senna driving the JPS Lotus Renault. Possibly the best colour combination on a race car.

I was lucky enough to see ten from the 50s 60s and 70s close up on Friday. Sadly the weather deteriorated before 12 noon but over half went out on track. Properly gave me goosebumps....
