NewNiceMrMe
When I was on my way down to Wiltshire last week I was absolutely convinced I saw an F40. It was heading North on the opposite carriageway. However - it was yellow. It didn't look like a chavved up MR2 to me but I am well aware that it is highly unlikely you'd find a yellow F40. Does one exist?
bazza_g
There's a lot of debate around F40 colours - some say all were red from factory then a few repainted black or yellow. Pininfarina created a yellow RHD conversion for the Sultan Brunei brother. Others say there were red, black and yellow direct from factory - I think they look amazing in all colours http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=218577 Yummy! garcon magnifique
I'm pretty sure I've seen a yellow one. But only one. And I'm pretty confident it was genuine, given it was at the Ferrari 50th Anniversary Silverstone Classic. But at speed going the other way on a motorway... probably an MR2. M8CKN
The guys at Gas Monkey garage (fast & loud on Discovery) turned a bent 1 owner F40 in to a straight black example. Ruined it IMHO
Tipex
I thought they did a really good job, there was no point returning it to factory spec because it would always be a crashed and rebuilt car, they made some subtle modifications to update it and make it 'better' than original. As for yellow F40's, there are a few of them, there were two at the annual local Ferrari meet last year, look fantastic in yellow.
