drpellypo
I used to be well up on ICE. Dad used to own a car electric business and I spent a lot of time at suppliers. Having been out of that game for 10 years now however I am totally clueless as to what's good and what's not! I've got a little fabia that I use for trips on my own without the kids and I'm missing having more than a radio. MrsP has offered to buy me a new sound system for our anniversary. I do believe in the Fabia you can pull out the factory tape/radio and tray underneath and replace with a double din? This in mind I'd like to get something that's double din that talks to my iPhone 5S or talks to and charges the iPod touch I used to have hidden in the dash of the Audi. Don't need nav. Don't need phone hands free. Budget is anywhere up to about £200 or so. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Twinspark
Not sure I'd go with a double DIN if you don't need navigation. The Pure DAB head units look good for the money - around £130. Mind you... I've just noticed you can get a Pioneer App Radio for under 200 quid on eBay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-PIONEER-APP-RADIO-SPH-DA100-7-Touch-Screen-Bluetooth-GPS-Android-iPhone-/121299181445?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item1c3dfe9f85 If I wasn't so against aftermarket head units, I'd probably stick something like that in the Porsche. NewNiceMrMe
Alpine. Without question. I may be able to arrange a discount for you if you do want an Alpine head unit. Something like this. If you spot an Alpine unit you like, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Edited May 11, 2014 by NewNiceMrMe

That's the outgoing model that doesn't work with newer iPhones. That's why it's so cheap.
