How not to park an Aventador

That's not a job I'd like.  Driving other people's cars really slowly, when you're not familiar with them, with lots of hard obstacles close by, and a whole load of crap just waiting to fall on you when the inevitable happens.

Those cars are an absolute pig to drive at very low speeds, I would say it's a combination of a horrible gearbox to manoeuvre a car with, and someone who doesn't realise just how bad the gearbox is for that.

If you look on Youtube, there are quite a number of videos of people struggling to manoeuvre Aventadors, the gearbox slips like mad on anything other than totally flat ground, then as you can see, lunges forward.

The only eyewitness source is the guy who filmed the video :coffee:  Maybe you could pop over to the hotel and ask as I don't particularly care who was driving :P

I recorded a valet parking a stunning Aventador in front of the Hotel de Paris in Monaco. When the car was parked, he wanted to rev it, but he was on first gear, so the Lambo crashed into another car.

When my dad was in his 20's, he used to work on the quays. His job, amongst other things, was to move the artics round to the loading bays. Lots of different lorries, lots of tight maneuvers.

One day he got into a lorry to move it. As he was reversing he saw a lad waving at him and shouting stop. Confused, he jumped out of the cab, looked at where the guy was pointing, and saw a car underneath the trailer.

Turns out the boss had just picked up a brand new car and took it to work. He parked right behind the lorry that dad has just sat in, too close to be seen in the mirrors. When dad started backing up the boss tried to beep the horn, but being unfamiliar with the car, couldn't find it.

Nobody hurt in the incident and amazingly dad kept his job!
