Luke
At a customers/friends house today. DB5 Superleggera. Just had the engine updated to 4.2 and 360bhp. Not been restored and still very, very original but the right condition. Worth a 'kin lot of money! Edited June 10, 2014 by Luke

Tipex
Sod the Aston, even though I've owned one, and it was a complete money pit, and I swore I'd never own another, I still covet the Integrale sooooo much. Look at it, has a more purposeful looking road car ever been built? Sadly going up in value now so I'll not get another until the mortgage is paid off, but when it is.... jimdiesel
Were the Aston's updates done by the Works division? Beautiful car. Edited June 10, 2014 by jimdiesel
Booster
One of our car dealers owns one (along with 21 classic Ferraris and a Packard once owned by Neville Chamberlain). It has an insurance valuation of £500k!!!!
Andrew
Oh that is nice. Although I find the 80s and 90s Vantage more beautiful. What can I say, I'm an imbecile!
cruiser647
That is a lovely Aston! And I also agree with Mr T! Integrale too!

Tipex
The Intergrale is one of my all time fav cars. Mine too, I'm lucky enough to be able to say I've owned one, and stupid enough to be able to say I sold it. It was low miles, superb condition, I paid something like 6k for it back in the late 90's, it would be worth substantially more than that now, somewhere in the range of 25-30k at a guess. I sold it and bought an MR2 Turbo, I thought I'd upgraded at the time, and to be fair the MR2 was an excellent car, but looking back..... I covet an Evo 2 Final Edition possibly more than any other car, but it's a car that you just couldn't drive today unless you like throwing pound notes away, sadly they are all show queens now. Luke
That's a final edition and a big punt, I'd say. £25-30k would get you an Evo2 that would be pretty special.
Tipex
It wont sell for 100k. I've seen one go for £85k, and it ended up back in Italy. There was a time that people were buying them cheap in Italy and importing them here (that's how I came about mine in fact), but now it's the other way around, the Italians are bringing them all back and paying big money for good ones. An upcoming episode of Wheeler Dealers has Mike Brewer fixing one and selling it back to the Italians I believe.
Luke
They're a bit fragile aren't they, T? Electrics especially.
E-bmw
All Italian electrics of the period were fragile.
Tipex
I personally never had any electrical issues, but they can have electrical gremlins as with most Italian stuff of the era. The engines need cambelts changing regularly as they like snapping them, it's mostly the suspension components I found to be fragile. They must have been heavilly modified for the rally car as mine ate bushes and shocks regularly, snapped anti roll bars, you name it, the chassis is a bit more flexible than you'd expect too, it's fairly common for cracks to appear in the metal at the bottom of the windscreen pillar if driven hard, although I would imagine they have developed after market bracing to stop that by now. I did drive it pretty hard to be fair, much more so than I would anything these days, but then I drove everything like that back then, and the Integrale seemed to suffer more than most, but then nothing else put quite as big a smile on your face when it was working properly. Tipex
I should probably say, the main reason I keep hanging on to my Impreza is because it reminds me so much of the way the Integrale drove. Feels very similar, albeit slightly quicker and a million times more reliable, it just doesn't have that look the Integrale does that says it's going to punch you in the face. I think once GM got their paws on half of Fiat, the electrics and reliaibility did improve!

They did, but it took a while, early 156's were still fairly poor, but they pretty much sorted them eventually!

More that look that says it was punched in the face a lot when it was younger. Mind you, it's a stunner compared the first bog eyed mk2.
Arch
An old work colleague in So'ton had 2 & 1/2 - 3 Integrales in various states of road going Ness. Awesome cars, always wanted one, always choosing it as my car on Sega Rally was as close as I got.
Luke
Ok. Was at this customers house again today. He showed me the Audi Quattro sport.
