cruiser647
During the 'heatwave' last week, I noticed a really disproportionately high number of broken down cars on the hard shoulders of the A1 Not flat tyres, as the bonnets were up and people were sitting on the fences or on the sunny grass verges waiting. Some were fairly decent looking cars and not all of them were bangers. The newest one IIRC, was a 03 Vx of some sort. I was really surprised. Got me thinking about when cars started to gain massive reliability and if the number of breakdowns was mainly due to poor/lack of maintenance? Mac
03 plate is hardly new? That's 11 years old!
cruiser647
I know, but cars are much more reliable now.
bazza_g
A badly maintained 11 year old car unlikely to be any more reliable than anything from the 80's/90's lol!
bazza_g
Or even less so as it'll have sensors and a computer to tell it to breakdown before terminal damage is done!
