Heard that teams are not allowed to bring additional parts to Sochi due to custom laws :ffs: Only stuff directly from Suzuka can be imported so not many updates expected.

Another brilliant rule from the Russians :ffs: Do they think Red Bull will smuggle cheese in their spare front wings?

I know it may seem inappropriate but what about Marussia that has to rebuild a full car? Will they only run one car) what about if you have a damaged car, like sutil's Sauber?  Hopefully the teams took enough to spares to Japan.

Be interesting to see what happens in 4 days.

Didn't the North Korean leader, now departed tell every one he was the best golfer in the world? He regularly beat Tiger Woods! Amongst other things, of course.

Something along those lines, I seem to recall he got a hole in one on every single hole or something.

Marussia will only race one car in Sochi

Sochi Autodrom, Russia

Friday 10 October 2014, 09.30hrs Sochi/06.30hrs BST

We will run a single car for the duration of the forthcoming Grand Prix weekend in Sochi, out of respect for our driver Jules Bianchi, who remains in hospital in Yokkaichi, Japan, in a critical but stable condition.

We have written to the Stewards of the Meeting to inform them that we have withdrawn our second car. Notwithstanding the presence in Sochi of Alexander Rossi, the nominated Official Reserve Driver for the 2014 Russian Grand Prix, the Team feels strongly that fielding a single car, that of driver number 4, Max Chilton, is the appropriate course of action under the difficult circumstances of the weekend.

Jules' car crew have built a second car, which has been scrutineered and is ready to race, and this will remain on his side of the garage throughout the weekend. In support of Jules and his family, the Team and its cars will carry the familiar #JB17 graphic, to ensure that although Jules is not with us in Sochi this weekend, he is, nonetheless, racing on with the Marussia F1 Team.

Practise is being repeated now on BBC2.

The track looks like someone designed it with a limited box of Scaletrix bits. You know when you need to complete the loop and only have certain bits left ... and then you also want to use all the parts up too.

I can't say I'm a fan so far.

Russian GP Grid: 1 Hamilton; 2 Rosberg; 3 Bottas; 4 Button; 5 Kvyat; 6 Ricciardo; 7 Alonso; 8 Raikkonen; 9 Vergne; 10 Vettel

Great drive for Bottas but his tyres went off at the very end, also Kvyat did really well, I think someone has swapped the STR and RBR cars.

I thought I saw that vettel is 11th?
