Ian_C
Press Release from Audi. If it drives anything like the current S3, the RS3 will be superb with 367 bhp https://www.audi-mediaservices.com/publish/ms/content/en/public/pressemitteilungen/2014/12/12/power_in_compact_form.html
Mac
That's new? Uninspiring and dull.
garcon magnifique
Potentially an interesting stealth mobile if you lose that daft chin strap. If you're an Audi fan.
Torino101
Audi fan boys will cream themselves, but seriously, come on Audi, *yawn*
Mook
The new A3 is more of an evolution from the last one. I've no idea what the platform is (not really too bothered either), but it's a handsome car. If it's the 5 cylinder from the TTRS, it'll sound bloody great with a Milltek on it
cruiser647
If it's the 5 cylinder from the TTRS, it'll sound bloody great with a Milltek on it It is. Although with slighty more power.

Scotty
It's a monster of a small car but it's not really anything to look at is it! Oh and I hate the quattro thang on the intercooler that the RS6 has too
max_b
Doesnt look special enough to have the RS badge, alloys look like re-hashed rotors. I wish Audi would get back to flaring the arch's on RS models like the B7 RS4 models. Having seen a S3 saloon today, a RS3 saloon would be a good proposition. Anybody know if that will make the light of day?
Tipex
I wish Audi would get back to flaring the arch's on RS models like the B7 RS4 models. This, while I still think it's an incredibly dull, bland car, some proper arches would make a huge difference.

Agreed. Much prefer a fast saloon to a fast hatch.

Anybody know if that will make the light of day? Arches are wider (front and rear this time) and I expect they will be more obvious in the flesh Given that there is no RS4 or RS6 saloon, the RS3 will almost certainly be 5dr only
cruiser647
Yep, you can see the arches now. Much more pronounced (and more visible) from that angle.
NewNiceMrMe
Good god. Audi's, the only premium brand car I know who keep taking a backwards step in design philosophy. That is bloody awful. Tacky, tacky, tat.
Rachel
Oooh look, some car. Soon to appear in a rear-view mirror near you. Lol. Not likely...
Soulboy
I'm not overly impressed, but could still end up getting one. I find changing cars a PITA nowadays. Wait till it's due to change, then see what's available (cancelled orders etc) from any manufacturer. Only real stipulation is I prefer 4wd. Can't be too flash either. So I could end up with one......yawn
eldavo69
Audi's RS range always seem to be great but only every other model. RS3 - bland crap RS4 - great car RS5 - understeery crap RS6 - rocket barge
garcon magnifique
So only go for the even numbers. Saw a new RS4 just now, very stealthy in black. Quite impressed. Then I saw (and heard) a new E63...
Ian_C
Looking like its going to be over £45k + options in the UK http://www.worldcarfans.com/114121685968/audi-rs3-sportback-priced-leaked-starts-from-56600
NewNiceMrMe
The world has gone mad. £45k will become £48-50k very easily. For a quick A3. A small hatchback. Jesus wept.
jimdiesel
Yes it's a small hatchback. An M3 is just a fast photocopier salesmanship car but that's nearly £60k. Cars are so good at so many things these days that you can look past what the basic format is and look at what it does. NewNiceMrMe
Hmm, not sure what the relevance of stereo-typing the M3 is, but the RS3 is still an A3 and you're almost certainly going to get a lot more standard kit in an M3 than you will in an RS3. Would you put both cars in the same class? I wouldn't. However, it'll be worth £50k to those who it appeals to - although I would like to guess most of those will be existing Audi owners. Tipex
Yep, you can see the arches now. Much more pronounced (and more visible) from that angle. The image will have been heavily photoshopped to accentuate the lines, they'll be almost invisible in the flesh.
