Interior protection. Scotch guard?

The new car has silver headlining. The Mrs loves a bit of makeup, and also has a habit of always having the visor down. Silver visor? Makeup hands??? You can get the bus love.

In case she doesn't like the idea of catching the bus, is there something I can treat the headlining with to act as a barrier? Like scotch guard?

If the headlining is man made, then the scotchgard isn't really going to stick to it. And if you get makeup on it you'll probably need a water based solvent, even if it's treated. If the garage try to sell you an interior package, don't bother. One, it will be water based and won't work and two, they won't even spray it. They'll say they will, but they won't.

And if you really do want it you can get it off eBay for £5

But then it wont come with the insurance policy (which in reality, is what you are paying for).

We've had quite a few seats and various interior trim bits replaced due to staining, having paid for the interior protection.
