Rather than spying on us, why can't these so called smart tvs automatically pause the programme when they notice we've nodded off? It would take you days to watch Antiques Roadshow if it did that.

Cuprabob
Not actually a bad race today with some good moves from Mad Max. When Bottas went past Alonso on the straight it was like a MK5 GTI going past an Aston Martin....
CarMad
A good race with the conditions helping spice things up a little. Great to see that Mercedes aren't going to be super dominant and that Ferrari are in with a great shout as well, fingers crossed Redbull can get into the mix at some circuits as well. Either way its an improvement so far.
Cuprabob
Fernando Alonso: McLaren driver to miss Monaco GP for Indianapolis 500 - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/39576099 Ironic as Monaco is probably the only circuit where the Honda power deficit isn't such a big issue. billy2shots
It's a sad reflection on how poor the Mc is and possibly F1 as a whole. Yes the Indy 500 is an historic race but so is Monaco. Presumably this was agreed before the season started and may have helped keep Alonso in the seat.
Mook
It's a smart move by Alonso though, isn't it. US seeing him forego Monaco to do the Indy 500, then race in the series next year. They'll go nuts for him, despite it being an age since he won an F1 title!
burble
Oh yeah, it's a good move from Alonso. Searching out his options for a drive of some description for 2018. I really can't see him still being in a Mclaren,
Mook
Weirdly, he'll leave at the end of 2017 for Indycar and then the 2018 McLaren will develop some decent pace and give the Mercedes and Redbulls a run for their money, because they'll have switched to a Mercedes power unit. Just you see...

CarMad
He has been seriously unlucky with his moves, everyone wants to see him in a good car but ow my has it not worked out in the latter part of his career.
Cuprabob
I would have loved for Fred to have got the 2nd Merc seat just to see him and Lewis going head to head again... I think he's now resigned to the fact that 2 WDC titles is his lot and is now looking outwith F1 for the next challenge.
Mook
And those were in '05 and '06 - 12 and 11 years ago! He's really in the twilight of his F1 career.
