E-bmw
Dounds like JLR trying to recoup the cost of an engine recall on their insurance to me...........£3m in 6 min? Let's say an engine costs JLR £20k, that would be 150 engines loaded in 6 min..........
Mook
Engine costs £20K - come on, you're having a laugh. I'd doubt it would be even 20% of that, which makes it 600 engines. Bloody hell that's a load of metal!
E-bmw
I was asuming they meant value not cost. Not that they would be actually worth that much, but they would sell them for that.

It's nice and quick if they're already in a trailer and you just have to connect the truck.
CarMad
But they came back and got more, surely they would have twigged, obviously not. I suspect they are going to be putting in some new controls going forwards....

Technically, you could probably show security a clipboard with some old (edited) chitty for something or other and away you go. Show confidence and look as if you know what you are doing. Security might not know what is what, where and who and such like on such a sprawling site. Lorries coming and going all the time, leaving trailers, collecting trailers, perhaps even coming in one entrance, leaving from another and perhaps JLR have this going on all the time - where lorries move stuff around the site from entrance to entrance. The story makes the place out to be a small industrial unit with 1 guard, 1 entrance and 1 security gate. (maybe it has the 1 main entrance?)
