Andy_Bangle
...by 5 seconds! Bugatti: "I'm the fastest car in the world, 0-400-0 km/h (248.5mph) in just 42 seconds" Koenigsegg: "Hold my beer"
Andrew
Love it, although the only thing I thought was that the Chiron looked distinctly normal, whereas the 'Egg has its of tape over it etc etc. So is it really a fair comparison? eldavo69
I read the press release - the Agera was a customer car straight out of the factory so the tape was the transport protection tape. Now being delivered to a lucky guy in the States who will never be able to recreate this but will have a cool story down the pub.
cruiser647
I quite like the look of the egg. But the sound isn't a patch on the Chiron. Bloody impressive linear acceleration graph !!!!
Rachel
So a RWD 'egg smashes an AWD Bugatti. On a runway deemed low friction. Epic stuff.

True, the Chron is a GT whereas the Agera RS is a pure weapon but that's a massive time gap at those speeds.
NewNiceMrMe
I'd pick a Koenigsegg over any Bugatti. They're just gorgeous cars. That braking is quite spectacular too. He must have been having his inards rearranged.
Andy_Bangle
They've only gone and smashed it again... The Agera RS broke its own record, completing the feat in just 33.29 seconds. That time is about 20 per-cent quicker than Bugatti could achieve. What’s even more incredible is that the Koenigsegg Regera may eventually complete a 0-400-0 km/h run in less than 30 seconds. The automaker believes the Regera will do 0-400 km/h in 20 seconds, approximately four seconds quicker than the 1,360 hp Agera RS.
Andy_Bangle
They also topped out at 284mph
cruiser647
As impressive as it is, the car sounds very agricultural...... at all speeds. Love the slow build up, no need to burn rubber on a small runway to get close. They have big long roads out there!
Andy_Bangle
Just cruising along at 200mph, which happens to be 20mph over the Boeing 747 take-off speed. Ain’t physics great.
Andrew
9 seconds quicker than the Bug! Love it. Prob couldn’t drive it!

Andrew
Aren’t they based on another manufacturer’s chassis?
E-bmw
They are on a lengthened Elise chassis IIRC.
