shao_khan
Excellent choice - what colour you gone for? Black gold, Turquoise? Had a 172 cup and that was great fun - loved it. One thing - I have driven two versions of this, one with sport pack and one without, I would defo recommend the sport pack.
chrhodes
we i hope that i dont regrett it but i went without the sport pack. mainly because i could get the blue clio that i wanted in 2 weeks not the 8-10 weeks that renault wanted and also get it for 12.5K the nearest i could get to that price would mean that the £200 suspension kit would have cost me about £550. So i have the blue one please, it also has the spoiler pack which they gave me for free. chris
shao_khan
Ours was Blue - great colour.
CraigR
Ordered on of these today , Titanium silver, cup suspension and spoiler pack, which now includes the anthracite wheels. Missus says it drove very well on the test drive, can't say it's going to compare even remotely with the R32 though. Got a 10 week delivery time to wait for it now. Any feedback for other owners on how good/bad this car is? although its gonna be at least a year before i can drive it !!!!
chrhodes
craigr I went from a TT to the 182 and i have to say i was very imressed. it is just opening up and i have got back that nice feeling that i used to have driving a R5 Turbo. Great fun. It has put me off VAG cars for the moment as the dealers are...NICE!! chris

First name terms and very attentive [/ QUOTE ] In the old days you could have said that it's a good job they are nice because being a french car you'll be spending a lot of time there! Unfortunately this now seems to be the case more and more with people like Mercedes and audi Enjoy it mate, I am very tempted myself!
shao_khan
I still miss our 172, and again dealer was very good. As Danksy says above visits to VW dealers seem to be getting all the more common, shame my local VW is such hard work.
Nicely
My 172 was sent back last week (changing jobs). Was the best car i've ever had, and had so much fun in it for the 7 months i had it. Again my local dealer was very good, fixed a broken drive shaft within a day of it breaking.
CraigR
[ QUOTE ] Enjoy it mate, I am very tempted myself! [/ QUOTE ] I will enjoy it when it finally arrives, renault factory is currently closed for a month. My delivery date was emailed to me today, 29th Oct. Long wait for the missus to get her hands on it.
chrhodes
tell me about the wait. I got quoted silly figures for the car and decided to get a pre reg one as i found one with the colour that i wanted for £1k less than the delaer was quoting. The only shame was that it didn't have the cup suspension pack. chris
danksy
A guy at work swears by These Guys (Jeffries Farm) for Renault. He got a new megane convertible for about £3k off UK list!

CraigR
The main dealers are doing reasonable deals at the minute too, over the telephone, managed to negotiate both cup packs, metalic paint and telephone prep, and pay less than basic rrp. Good saving which i was quite happy with.
chrhodes
The cars at jeffries farm do imports so you only get 2 years warraranty. I think the differance was about £300 on an import V Pre Reg. I got mine with the matalic paint and cup spoiler pack for £12695. The dealer wouldn't go below £13300 for a car without the cup spoiler pack. it is best to haggle even with the broakers (who say that they dont haggle) as you will get cash off. audia8s2
Still waiting for mine, haven't got a fixed date but their saying 3rd week in September . My spec is identical to this one on Ebay. CraigR
Phone call from dealer today, car still due on 29th Oct, ready for collection on the 1st/2nd. How are you guys getting on with you're 182's? Heard mixed feedback so far, not about the car, but the service from the Renault dealers.
chrhodes
no problems so far, dealer is a 10 min walk from work so happy about the fact that i dont need to wait for servicing as i dont need a replacement car. just coming up to 7K miles going like stink. I am really enjoying the car... you will too chris
BURTON
Iv been tempted by this!! What is your opinion now you have been driving the car awhile?
CraigR
Burton, i've had mine for nearly 2 weeks now, its a fantastic little car, have only had a wee shot becuse of my current predicament, but the missus is driving it, and driving it swiftly. It handles very well and has quite a bit of go in it also, not nearly as well put together as the Golf was, but at nearly half the price, its proving to be fun, and an excellent purchase.
