Your gonna take a monster hit in depreciation over the next couple of years. Have you thought about slightly higher miles, higher spec and parting with less wonga? ECLIPSe.gif

It depends on how low that spec is! £69k list would be one with a few options on it, so one that's a couple of months old at most with 7k miles on it isn't reduced by much if the spec is low.

Can you list the main non-standard items? Alternatively, try http://www.audi.co.uk/ and go to New Cars, A8 and then configure one up as an LWB with whatever options and check the retail price.

Given that >10% can be had on factory orders (if you know how to ask), one with lots of journo miles in a short time should be nearer 20% off list, if not more. These cars will probably depreciate like flying bricks for the first 12 months/30,000 miles/£30k (whichever comes first) IMHO, with the 1st owner taking most of that. Don't let a dealer pass that on to you!

Hi Martynn, you are a brave soul! Telling everyone you work for a main dealer. Main Audi dealer at that!

Most dealers would not like what is written in here about them. Some get openfire.gif, the odd one gets praise, but overall most are rated POOR. Especially when it comes to servicing, prices and customer service.

You will need a flak jacket! Good luck!

Orders? ORDERS? Dealer should pay you for orders. We should be "showing our appreciation" (ahem!) for the real gold stuff - quality inside information...

Martynn, you are indeed a hardy soul to wander in here. How long you been lurking? wink.gif

Chris, I was thinking staff discounts on parts wink.gif Should the stealer pay for these orders too grin.gif

Preferably, dealers should pay for as much as possible. After all, you're going to go out there and advertise the brand on the roads of the country, aren't you? grin.gif
