Mort
Does anyone have access to a wiring diagram for all four doors on an 97 A8 Q sport ? - I am trying to sort out a problem with courtesy lights (its not the bulbs) and need to know what I am dealing with before the door panels are removed. Any help appreciated - thanks....

PaulW
It's the switches in the door latch mechanism that is the problem. I'd have to search through audiworld for a post that I put up....but essentially the Bently manual states that the whole assembly needs to be replaced, but I can't believe that. There is an internal switch in the door latch assembly, that's the problem. Here's a few pictures that I already have on the web: Hope this helps! Botang
on modern cars (eg my passat) all the door locks talk to each other through a central unit located in passenger footwell on a passat. On a passat this can get wet and cause a whole manner of problems. As I found out before
Sven
Mort, lemme know if this info suffices. If you still need the wiring diagram I'll look it up. (I'll need MY, EC & TC though).

Sven
Model Year, Engine Code and Transmission Code (5). That and/or the model nr. (2). They are to be found on the sticker in your service booklet, and in the boot of the car (spare wheel compartment). See attachment.
