MikeeB
Hi, Having problems getting insurance for 3.2 Sline (DSG). Not from the point that I'm 17 (which I'm not), more from the point that nobody appears to know what an Sline is. If you could drop details of who your insured with that would be great. Tesco online would be great, or at least they have come in with the best quote on a 3.2 Quattro Sport. Cheers
gremlin
Had similar problems myself with my 2.0 TDi DSG S Line. In the end I insured it as an A3 2.0TDi Sport Automatic. That's what it said on the registration documents too when I got them.
BeakerBuddy
I got it for around £825 (if you can pay as a one off) and used www.confused.com My postcode area is not too great either.
MikeeB
Sorted it with Tesco in the end. I rang the Audi dealer and mentioned that I was having problems getting a quote, and asked what the V5 would say on it. Didn't know, but try "Audi insurance", and they gave me a number. So I ring up Audi insurance, and guess what...... "no sline listed, you sure it's not an S3" I got put on hold for 8 minutes, and then got told that it would be listed as a 'sport 3.2 Quattro', they then gave me a lottery number quote. No thanks. As I've now established that the sline is basically a sport and with the comment above, I went back to Tesco online, stuck in the details, listed the car as a 3.2 Sport Auto, and bingo, we have a quote. Starting off at £1500+ with my current insurance company this morning, I've got nearly 1k off the price Sorted. Thanks for the help guys. Just have to sit here for a week now. ChrisDev
I had my insurers (Admiral) list it as a 3.2 Sport Auto and then made them note the bigger alloys and spoiler. (they put the price up too). I think I was ripped off. Best I could get was 900-ish 5 years NCB, average postcode.
timsdm
My insurance for my sline is with admiral the car is registered as a A3 TDI automatic with the dvla so thats what it is insured as all they asked was if ther were any dealer fitted options. I have 1years NCB and park on the road in a reasonable post cade and costs £380 I do have seperate wheel, tyre and key insurance as well.
Tomk
what do you mean by wheel , key etc ? whats that
timsdm
If a I burst a tyre or loose a key I call a number and they come out and sort it or give me a car or put me up in a hotel. Considering the cost of the sline tyres worth it I think.
